Starting in 1959, the Gonidec family has been committed to quality seafood products, collected from the neighboring shores. Today, Gonidec is the last fish cannery in Concarneau, Brittany, and quality is the watchword. The freshness of the fish and the work by hand are two factors that modernization can never replicate. This commitment to quality is also present at the time of the sale of each box. Each year, during the sardine harvest, the sardines are packed in a salt brine, which firms up the flesh and intensifies the flavor. Then the sardines are dried off and fried in oil.
